March Break Upcycled Sewing Camp (Ages 10+)

March 16–20 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

In this five-day upcycled sewing camp, kids aged 10 and up will learn foundational sewing skills while transforming old clothing into something entirely new. Think: well-loved t-shirts, worn-in jeans, and button-down shirts reborn as bags, accessories, or keepsakes like small pillows or change pouches).

Each day builds skills gradually and confidently. We’ll cover sewing machine basics, cutting and pinning, simple construction techniques, and how to work with different types of fabric. Along the way, participants will learn how to see potential in materials that might otherwise be headed for the donation bin or recycling pile.

This class is for older kids who are ready for a screen-free, hands-on experience.

What to Bring

  • 2–3 old shirts (t-shirts are perfect!)
  • Optional but encouraged: old jeans or button-down shirts

All other tools and shared equipment are provided in the studio.
