Who we are

Tiny Cheer Handmade runs small-group sewing classes in Guelph, Ontario, for complete beginners and for people who already sew. Classes cap at four students, so nobody sits waiting for help, and machines, fabric and tools are provided.

We have partnered with The Maker's Print Shop, a Guelph fabric and sewing supply shop that also prints digital sewing patterns in large format, with no taping or trimming. We're running our classes from the Maker's Print Shop's temporary home on the main floor of Quebec Street Mall on Wyndham Street, while their permanent home is built out for 2027.

This fall, we're offering a limited course lineup that includes:

  • Beginner Machine Sewing covers the machine from scratch.
  • One-day workshops make a tote, a zipper pouch or a set of fabric gift bags.
  • Four-week evening courses build a whole garment.
  • What's included?

Use of studio sewing machines, irons, and basic tools. Each class page lists any extra supplies or patterns you’ll need.

  • What level am I?

Look for “Beginner”, “Confident Beginner”, or “Intermediate” in each class description. If you’re not sure, send us a note and we’ll help you pick.

  • What if I can't make all the dates?

Please read the class description and email us before booking if you know you’ll miss a session. We’ll let you know whether it’s still a good fit and what options are available.
