Sew Your Own Sam Apron – A Two-Session Beginner Sewing Class
Dates: Saturdays, 1–5 PM | November 1 & November 8
Location: Guelph Studio Space | 77 Suffolk Street West
Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly sewing series where you'll create your very own Sam Apron using the free pattern by Helen’s Closet.
Over two consecutive Saturdays, you'll learn the basics of cutting, sewing, and finishing techniques while making a stylish and functional apron you’ll be proud to wear (or gift)!
Class Options:
🧵 Waxed Canvas Package – Includes high-quality waxed canvas and all required notions.
🧵 BYO Fabric Package – Bring your own fabric and personalize your apron with your own style. We’ll provide a supply list upon registration.
What You’ll Learn:
- Reading and using sewing patterns
- Cutting fabric accurately
- Sewing seams and edge finishes
- Installing pockets and strap
- Working with speciality fabrics (waxed canvas option)
What’s Included:
- Two 4-hour guided sessions (total of 8 hours of instruction)
- Hands-on help and troubleshooting
- Small group setting for lots of individual support
Come with curiosity and leave with a beautiful handmade apron and new sewing confidence. Space is limited, minimum 3 participants/maximum 6.
