The Orbit Bag is perfect for upcycling fabric scraps or quilted remnants—ideal for beginners wanting to dip their toes into quilting on a manageable scale.
When & Where
This is a series of 4 classes, held from 6:30-9 PM on Tuesday Sept. 16, 23, 30 & Oct. 7.
Classes are held at Guelph Studio Space : 77 Suffolk Street West.
Minimum 3 participants / maximum 7.
What You'll Make:
Create the versatile Orbit Bag—a stylish, circular (9¼″ diameter) crossbody designed for everyday grab‑and‑go use. This pattern offers two charming versions:
- View A: A quilted star motif on the front with stripes on the back
- View B: A clean, single‑fabric finish
Both versions feature structured quilting, an exterior pocket, interior pocket, zipper closure, and long fabric strap—with optional hardware for added customization.

- Instructor: Dominique Bruce (@selvagegarden), experienced bag maker & sewist
- Schedule: Tuesdays, Sept 16, 23, 30 & Oct 7 • 6:30–9 PM
- Class Size: Max 7 students for personalized attention
- Bring: Your own exterior and lining fabric, matching thread, and your sewing machine (or email katherine@tinycheerhandmade.com to rent one)
- Provided: Pattern, batting, zipper, zipper pull, strap, hardware, tools—all included in the registration fee
