Machine rental needed?

Learn the basics of using a sewing machine in this beginner-friendly, 2-hour introductory class. You will learn sewing essentials, including how to thread a machine, change the needles and presser feet and wind a bobbin. We will learn how to control the machine, working on improving accuracy to better ‘steer’ the fabric. We will also try out different settings and stitch types and learn how to troubleshoot common issues.

You will gain confidence and skills and leave the class ready to start sewing – on your own, or at one of our other beginning level classes.

You can rent a sewing machine for the class for $20 (choose the rental option when checking out). When renting a machine, all other materials will be provided (thread, bobbin, etc.).

Level: Beginner - no prior sewing experience required. Recommended for ages 14+.

Supplies: Sewing machine in good working order, manual, any accessories that came with your machine, a good quality spool of thread, at least one empty bobbin for your machine.

***All other supplies will be provided!***
